Hi Waseela, At your current HbA1C levels you may still be able to lower your glucose levels with diet and lifestyle. If you are overweight, then losing weight to a normal BMI will also assist. Remember that diabetes management is not solely about the medication. A low GI and calorie-restricted diet, coupled with at least 150 minutes of exercise per week, and a decisive weight loss plan will collectively assist in managing your blood glucose level. It is best that you do this with the aid of a registered dietitian and with your doctor's supervision.

I have HBA1c reading of 6.2. that was my last HBA1c reading in August 2014.reading
I cannot take oral medication as I am a rare case of having reaction and skin rashes due to the Dynol, Galvus and all other meds tried. Metformin/Glucophage gives me terrible Diahorrea. I have visited several doctors who form the same opinion that I cannot be on insulin as my HBA1c is too low. What can I do? I feel terrible without meds and if I do take the oral meds I have terrible side effects. Suggestions please!!!!
