Hi Mrs Pam. This is a common area for peptic ulcer pain, gallstones and gastritis. Of course these are among the more common conditions. There are several other conditions that could also be the cause. It really is difficult to say based on the pain alone but the hunger you are describing along with the pain is characteristic of gastritis and ulcers. Psychological stress, including the anger you describe, can actually increase stomach acid secretions which can make both peptic ulcer and gastritis symptoms worse. Best you to speak to your doctor about it.
