Hi Nithya. There are many possibilities from more common conditions like a middle ear infection with a ruptured eardrum allowing the blood to leak out of the outer ear, to more serious conditions like a cholesteatoma and so on. Some of these conditions can be very serious and even deadly. In other instances a simple measure like interfering with the ears with cotton buds can cause repeated injury which may lead to bleeding. It is difficult to say for sure about your individual case. You should follow up with your famiiy doctor and possible consult with an ENT specialist who can examine the area thoroughly and then make a diagnosis.

When i was 15 years old the doctors had to remove everything from my right ear even shaving part of my bone that separates the ear and skull. The doctor had to remove my equilibrium tubes, eardrum, the 3 smallest bones in my ear,(everything). I had to spend time learning how to walk again after the surgery. Now i am experiencing all of these symptoms
Ear pain (otalgia)
Headache
Loss of hearing
Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
Problems with balance
Confusion, drowsiness and other mental symptoms
‘Raccoon eyes’ (bleeding under the skin around the eyes)
Foul smelling discharge
Dizziness
Also my hands will sometimes go numb or just tingle. This will normally go away pretty quickly but it happens frequently. My ear is always smelly too. Kinda getting worried.
