Hi, I had diarrhoea for a week and sever stomach cramps and my stool is abit harder now, I found a worm in it. I also have piles and I got bleeding ulcers.

There are many possible causes but given the altered hormone levels with pregnancy, ongoing diarrhea and pale stools this may possibly be due to some obstruction of the bile duct, and one of the common causes is a bile duct stone (may have arisen from the gallbladder in which case it is a gallstone). If you have not seen a doctor as yet then you should do so as soon as possible.

I am 24 yo and 16.3 weeks pregnant. I’ve had stomach cramps and diarrhea for 3 weeks. When the pain is bad i am incredibly bloated. Its worse after any meal. My diet is bananas, mandarins, yogurt, lean meat, veggies and porridge. The stools have also become pale in colour and i think there is now blood mixed in. What could this be?

In reply to sowyera. Hi Sowyera. We cannot say for sure why this may be occurring but it is indeed a serious symptom in some instances. On one hand it can be bleeding hemorrhoids (piles) but on the other end it could be as serious as colorectal cancer. You have to see your doctor immediately. The necessary investigations will be conducted before a diagnosis is made. Hopefully it is hemorrhoids which can be quite uncomfortable and distressing but not very serious. Hemorrhoids can be treated by your doctor and proctologist.
