However, some of the causes of blood in your sperm can also affect your testes and sperm production. This means that the cause of the blood in the sperm could have compromised your ability to conceive – the blood is just another sign of this underlying cause.

You should speak to a urologist about your condition as soon as possible. The STD’s in particular that can cause bloody sperm may also be a risk for your wife and unborn child if you do conceive. Seek medical attention immediately.
