I am 70 years old and experience hematuria after most strenuous treadmill time, but not always. If I work out strenuously (more than 5 miles) for two days in a row, I usually generate extremely red urine with clots. But, I know that I have a stone residing in my bladder and several located in each kidney. I also have BPH. Wonder if anyone with kidney stones without BPH or BPH without kidney stones has hematuria after exercise.

In reply to <a href="https://healthhype.com/clots-in-urine-clotted-blood-reasons-and-causes.html#comment-95639">geordyal</a>.

Hi Geordyal. Please note that we do not prescribe any treatment on this platform. However it is worth mentioning that taking aspirin could make matters worse. The presence of a blood clot indicates that there is bleeding somewhere along the urinary tract. Aspirin may impair the body's ability to form a clot which is intended to stop the bleeding. Therefore the aspirin would allow the bleeding to continue. Aspirin may not be beneficial as it could be for a blot clot within an artery which may lead to a stroke or heart attack. Do not confuse the choice for aspirin in these cases with a blood clot in the urine. Speak to a doctor.
