Hi Barbara. Aneurysms can be dangerous because it can rupture under certain conditions. However, it depends on a number of factors and fortunately the aorta is a very strong artery. Your gastroenterologist will weigh out the risks of performing the procedure before doing so and if he/she feels it is fine then it should be.]]></description>
