Hi Debbie. Usually this would not be a lasting side effect. It depends on a number of factors such as the dosage, duration used and when it was stopped. Even individual sensitivity and metabolism plays a role. Some people would experience it for longer, depending on the factors just mentioned. However, there is also the possibility that the dry mouth that you are experiencing may not be a side effect of the drug. Instead it could be a symptom of some other as yet undiagnosed condition. It is advisable to consult with your doctor if the dryness does not resolve in the next few days.
