Hi Kilikini

It is important to bear in mind that many conditions, gastrointestinal or other, exhibit similar symptoms and therefore just fitting the clinical picture without test results to confirm may not be a conclusive indication of a condition. You should speak to your doctor about consulting with a gastroenterologist and/or internist at this stage. These medical specialists will look at the case in its entirety and decide on the appropriate tests for your daughter.

6 years ago my daughter started getting stomach craps and vomitting often. Doctors told us to keep a food diary and eliminate foods that reoccur before her episodes. It didn't help. Last summer her extremities started to swell, we are told that she has physical angioedema, however antihistimes don't help. I read this article about Intestinal Andioedema and it describes her symtoms exactly. Is there a Doctor that specializes in this form of angioedema? if not what kind of doctor can I take her to to see if she has this? or How do I get her doctors to test for this? They have already tested her for C1-INH twice and both came back normal.
