Hi Amanda. Hopefully you sought medical attention at the time. While many of the symptoms you describe could occur for various reasons (some of which are not life threatening, such as anxiety), it is always advisable to go to the ER in such instances. Needless to say your BP was very high and the additional symptoms like numbness and blurred vision could be signs of a stroke, or possibly a heart attack. You are not overweight and at 32 you may not fall within a high risk group. Nevertheless a stroke or heart attack is possible at your age. Even if all the symptoms cleared without medical intervention, it is still highly advisable that you report this episode to your doctor.

Hi George. It' difficult to say with any certainty what can be considered normal or abnormal for a specific case based on the information provided on an online platform. Generally speaking this is not normal and needs to be medically investigated. Hopefully you are seeing a urologist frequently and this is one of the symptoms that need to be reported. It may or may not be related to your prostate. It could even be a bladder problem. Your urologist will investigate and advise your accordingly.

Hoping this works. Im a 37yr female, and 5 days ago woke with this numbness. Full body. Its like someone wrapped me in a layer of gauge, and if you touch me, i can feel it, but i dont feel it like i should. the top layer is just not working. Day 2 i was severly dizzy, had a hard time with measuring the distance of things, Day 3-floating feeling, and increase of first symptoms. day 5 woke with a panicked feeeling. i could breath but its not automatic. I have no feeling of when i need to go to the bathroom, or hungry or tired, no pain at all. I am not on any prescribed drugs, no truama, not on any drugs or alchohol. Help pls

Hi Babette. It doesn't sound like fibromyalgia but we can't say for certain. This may be a condition like cubital tunnel syndrome where the nerve gets compressed when the elbow is bent (you would have to bend your elbow to hold a phone to your ear). It could also be an issue with circulation in your arm. Naturally once you extend your arm again and the compression is relieved there will be symptoms like tingling. This needs to be assessed by a doctor and possibly have further tests.

Hi Namcha. It is possible that your current symptoms are unrelated to your accident 5 years ago and may be due to several conditions, not just one. It would be advisable that you see a neurologist and an orthopedist for further investigations. Yes, it is possible that this buttock pain that you are currently experience is related to nerve compression which could account for the leg/foot numbness, tingling and pain. However, as mentioned at the outset it is also possible that there are several conditions which could be responsible for all of these symptoms.
