Hi Nuggets. Yes, anal itching may be caused by an intestinal worm infestation. It is a common symptom of certain parasitic intestinal worms like pinworms. However, do not rely on these symptoms alone. Proper diagnostic tests should be done to confirm intestinal worms. This may require a stool sample is sent to a laboratory for further analysis.
