Hi there...for the last 2 months or so I've been experiencing an uncomfortable constant ache in one calf muscle..only happens when I'm sitting for about 15 min. or longer..not sure what is causing this. I do have a varicose vein w/little bulging lumps in that leg..could that have something to do with the pain? Also, I'm 54 yrs.old and in full menopause..Thank you for any help!

Hi!
I'm a 28 year old woman. I have been having this leg pain in my LEFT leg for months now. It doesn't usually bother me while I'm standing. (I am on my feet 8-12 hours a day) for work. It does bother me when I sit down. Cross my legs. Keep them straigt or bent. And worse is when I am sleeping. I thought if I slept with a pillow between my thighs it would help but Iiut has gotten worse! I went to the dr. And got checked for a blood clot because the leg is "rounder" than the other. But it came back negative. All of my blood work was fine except my inflamation levels were high. But the test doesn't say where in my body I am inflammed. The pain radiats from my left hip all over my thigh knee calf and ankle! I have had 3 c sections. I am.overweight (working on my health) and have been told I have degenerative disc disease in m y lower lumbar. Also for a good two years I dealt with my bouts of pelvis obliquity after my 2nd child. My calf is tight. My muscles twitch in my foot and calf sometimes. But I don't know what it is. I know pain. And it takes alot for me to say Ouch this really hurts. So. I'm not being a baby either, I'm frustrated.

Hi Heaven. The leg, thigh and groin pain that you are experiencing now may not be related to your Achilles tendon problem from 2 years ago. Despite the pain being in the limbs, it is possible that it may arising higher up and radiating downwards. It could even be a gynecological problem. It is difficult to say with any certainty as to what the cause of the pain could be because there are no other distinctive symptoms. The distribution of the pain may be a sign of nerve compression but this has to be diagnosed by a doctor. Do not ignore it. Consult with your doctor as soon as possible. Further tests/scans may be necessary.
