Hi Sissy. It is definitely worth having checked up. HPV can cause minor skin rashes and is often transmitted by sexual contact. Given the link to cancer, HPV infection is always a concern. However, the rash may not be something to stress about just yet. It is also possible that it does not have anything to do with HPV. Nevertheless see a doctor as soon as possible and get the proper medical advice in person.

Hi Gerald

Yes, depending on the STD in question, proper treatment can mean a total resolution of the infection. However, in diseases like HIV infection, treatment will only maintain the immune status of the patient for a longer period of time and possibly delay the onset of opportunistic infections. But there is no "cure" as such.

Hi Lenoxy4ever

It is possible but it should not affect your sex drive but rather your ability to get an erection if it was a severe infection. You should see a urologist. Groin pain with diminished sex drive could be related to other non-infectious, yet equally serious disorders in the groin/genitalia (like testicular cancer) that may also affect your testosterones levels which could account for a low sex drive.
