greenish mucus in the nostrils can originate from the nose or paranasal sinuses, which could be inflameed. One possible cause is smoking. Mucus worsened recently could be a symptom of a superimposed infection. Stopping smoking is the first thing you can do. If mucus will persist, you can visit your doctor who can decide if you need antibiotics or other treatment.

I try using nasal sprays, but it just does not seem to work at all!!! I recently noticed that I have a bright greenish color in my boogers and that is not normal for me.
