Hi Angel. The clamps do not grow back. As far as your tubes regenerating to the point where an egg cell can move through it to the uterus, the chances are very small and largely depend on the procedure. You should follow up with the OBGYN who did the procedure on you.

Hi Heather. Yes, it is possible with filshie clips but it is not commonly reported by most women. Your other symptoms raises concerns about hormonal related conditions and even menopause. If you are younger than 40 it could be premature ovarian failure or some other related gynecological disorder. You should see your gynecologist as soon as possible.

In reply to <a href="https://healthhype.com/tubal-ligation-procedure-surgery-female-sterilization-methods.html#comment-50999">Yolanda</a>.

From Dr. Alison

Hi Yolanda,

A fallopian ring or the Falope ring that is used as a method of sterilization is placed around the loop of the fallopian tube by an applicator which is inserted through an incision in the abdomen. This is usually done as a laparoscopic procedure. The tube is drawn into a loop and the ring is placed over it. Being elastic in nature, it
clamps around the loop of tube and blocks it. Since the Falope ring is placed over the loop, it has no way of getting inside the tube and coming out of your body. If the ring is not applied properly or becomes too stretched and loose, it may fall off the tube but it will remain within your abdomen, usually sitting on the tube, without causing any harm except that the tube may no longer be blocked and pregnancy might occur.

As to the ring you found in the bathroom, it is difficult to say without really seeing it. It could be a Nuva Ring (a small ring with hormones which you put into the vagina) which you may have used as a birth control method and forgotten to take out after the specified time of 3 weeks.

I would advise you to see your doctor who will be able to do a physical examination and run any tests if necessary so as to set your mind at rest regarding your problem.
