You have to see a gastroenterologist who can then run further investigations like a colonoscopy. This has to be done if you did not have one within the past 2 years. The underlying problem needs to be accurately diagnosed. Based on what you say, your condition is obviously very severe and delaying and you are probably already experiencing deficiencies. Do not delay any further or further, possibly even more serious complications, may arise.

Anesthesia typically causes short term constipation and there may be secondary ‘diarrhea’ to follow thereafter once bowel activity resumes. However, this is short lived while yours is continuing for 1 year after surgery.
