Hi Anjan. Symptoms like itching may not be present. Yellowing of the skin, eyes and inside the mouth are the most prominent symptoms of jaundice. The fact that there is still redness evident in your mucous membrane (inside of the eye) does not exclude jaundice. However, it is important to note that jaundice is not the only cause of yellowing of the eyes. Do not attempt to self-diagnose jaundice. Your doctor will have to do blood tests to confirm that it really is jaundice and then start with the appropriate treatment.
