Hi Mudgenta. Yes your blood pressure is very low and needs to be checked by a medical doctor. If this low blood pressure is persisting then a host of tests will need to be done to identify the exact cause. Only then can the appropriate treatment be prescribed. Low blood pressure like this can lead to dizzy spells and even blackouts which can be dangerous. Speak to your doctor as soon as possible.

Hi Heather. It is low and this is known as hypotension. While the focus is often on the dangers of high blood pressure (hypertension), low pressure can also be dangerous. We cannot say for sure what may be causing your low blood pressure, but in conditions where the heart has some problem and cannot pump with force then hypotension may be the result. Speak to your doctor as soon as possible.

Hi Regina. It is quite likely that there was an error with the first reading but fluctuations in blood pressure can occur. You must understand that the first number (systolic) is the pressure when your heart contracts and the second number (diastolic) is where you heart relaxes. The systolic is usually higher than the diastolic. So keep monitoring it but this was likely an error. If you do notice an elevation then speak to your doctor.

Hi Stacy. You may also want to refer to this article https://www.healthhype.com/signs-of-high-blood-pressure-and-stages-of-hypertension.html where it states that a systolic pressure of over 120 is prehypertension. So your 125 reading is definitely a cause fo concern in that it cannot be considered normal as yet but at the same time it is not hypertension (high blood pressure). However, prehypertension precedes hypertension. So if three readings show this abnormality, you should take it seriously and start making lifestyle changes to prevent hypertension.
